Corporate Training in Financial Management & Strategic Management

I also made a mark as a Corporate Trainer in Financial Management and Strategic Management. I have had the wonderful opportunity of sharing concepts and case studies with the managers of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation (now part of Reliance Industries Ltd), IBP (now part of Indian Oil), Balmer Lawrie, DVC, Engineers India Ltd, DPSC-Descon Ltd, Coal India, etc. With these organizations, I have been associated for more than 10 years.

Creating Today’s Leaders for Tomorrow’s World

But the most fascinating part of my career is that of a Management Professor. I have been teaching MBA students since February 1998. Starting as a visiting faculty with the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, I later joined ICFAI Business School, Kolkata as Dean in 1999 and was later promoted to Director. During these 11 years, I enjoyed my role as Institutions Builder. It is a matter of great satisfaction for me to recollect that when I took over as Dean of ICFAI Business School, it had only 96 MBA students and 2 faculty members, operating out of 6,500 square feet at Kolkata. When I left them in 2009, the same institution had more than 800 students and 40 core faculty members. My role as an Institution Builder continued as Campus Director of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata. At my campus which is situated in the heart of Kolkata, we had a Business School, a College of Media & Communications, and a College of Pharmacy & Healthcare Management, running both Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. We had more than 1700 students and more than 80 faculty members. As the Campus Director, it was my responsibility to oversee the function of each academic portal. This role continued as Chief Mentor of B.P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology.

Deep Rooted Network

I am widely traveled and have deep connectivity with reputed institutions like the School of Business, Washington State University, Central Michigan University, University of Miami, etc.
